Mission Statement

The Exira Public Library strives to provide all people of the community with recreational, educational and informational materials by maintaining a current collection of books, magazines, audio book, eBooks, DVDs, online recourses, interlibrary loan system, reference materials, computer access, and free Wi-Fi for the public. We host weekly and monthly story time programs for children of all ages as well as a yearly Summer Reading Program with over 100 children participants. We hold regular adult programming featuring authors, special topics and guest speakers. Our meeting room is accessible for the public to use free of charge for educational meetings, social activities and personal meetings. We serve residents of not only Exira, but surrounding rural areas and neighboring towns as well.
